I have recently noticed that a male coworker of mine always does this to me in front of the higher-ups. He takes my ideas, my work, my everything, and packages up as his own, even using the word "we" (never, ever would he mention me by name). He is then thanked for his brilliant ideas and hard work. And yes, he was recently promoted to a Manager (not my manager). I find it so frustrating that when I'm literally speaking my own original thoughts, they will go "I really like your idea [dude], it's a great idea".

It's like they can't process the fact that a woman has something of value to contribute, and their knee jerk reaction is to find the nearest penis to jerk off.

But...

Do you notice how your name suddenly comes up when there is an issue? Oh don't worry, they'll remember your purpose of being in the meeting real quick.
