Gay men actually go to Drs at the drop of a hat and the slightest sign of any abnormalities... that is why they are the highest reported right now.

I am so happy to hear that at least SOME men know how to call a doctor to make an appointment or how to find a walk in clinic. Ugh.
There have been some more kids pop positive this past week. The photos of the lesions INSIDE the anus of adults have horrified me & I am happy that I still follow precautions for covid so I won’t be getting any perianal lesions ever. 🤢🤢
If only this were the case but it will likely make it’s way around eventually from men who don’t disclose, or intentionally infect women. Men are generally sexually irresponsible so it’s in their ecosystem for the time being.

Why is it sooo common among men?
I've heard that it affects Gay/Bi men the most....but then I've also heard people saying that it's incorrect....and just the CDC trying to paint Gay/Bi in a bad light... like they did with the HIV crisis.

Yeah they don’t tell us because for some reason they’re able to convince themselves that they are not bisexual or gay just because they have sex with other men. How do we even Vet those men out? Like do you know the red flags we should watch for that would let us know we’re dealing with someone on the down low?

You know how you can tell a man is gay based on his mannerisms and voice? Yeah, those are helpful. Also, these bros before hoes, constantly defending men no matter what, becoming a bitch whenever around men (allowing me to bully and harrass you?), give these homoerotic tendencies and should be avoided. There are also very sexually active/sexually deviant men- I wouldn't be surprised if they had sex with a man- and just "didn't know".You can bait them- by asking them if they've ever had a man crush/kissed a guy in college and act as though it were normal or you're into it. Let a man talk and he'll out himself.Safe to say, if you're unlucky enough to be in a relationship with a dl male the biggest indicator is being HYPER homophobic to the point it's like he's trying to prove something 🤔...There is no sure way, but I remember my friend joking saying if he catches anything you'll know for sure 🤣

Years ago I dated a guy who was super homophobic, he had done some time in jail years ago, after awhile in the rave scene so maybe he was. Ugh. I get myself tested after every relationship even though I make them do it before we get rid of condoms, but if they cheat that won’t help so I check myself after. Maybe that’s excessive but I was a teenager when HIV was disc and I remember people passing it on purpose (“because if I have to suffer you should too“ or some shit) so I like to make sure I am good.
But thank you I love these suggestions and IF I ever hear a man say “bros before hoes” I will casually say “Oh, you’re on the DL?” 😂 He’ll hate it and he’ll probably lose the phrase from his vocabular.

Look, this might make me look dumb, but I'm just hearing about monkey pox. Like this year. Is it a new disease? Is it like AIDS where it mainly impacts homosexual men (I saw on the news that this was the case). Also, tf are they doing on Manhattan?!If this is what the end of the patriarchy looks like, I'm so here for it.

No it’s been an endemic in Africa for a while, but it’s been a long time since there has been a case outside of Africa anyway.
They are trying to pretend it’s a disease that only gets men who sleep with other men, but in countries that have monkeypox the children die at a higher rate than the adults. I think it’s about one and 10 people die from it. If you’ve had a smallpox vaccine that will help protect you, people my age and younger in the US did not get a smallpox vaccine.
And because the narrative is that it is a homosexual man’s disease, heterosexual guys will not want to get tested for it or admit they have monkeypox, so it should be interesting to see how this goes here.
From what I understand is spread by close contact, like sex, but I’ve also read that it is airborne. I’m still trying to not get Covid, so at least those efforts will also help me not get monkey pox, if it even attacks women.
At the moment it's spreading in the gay/bi male club scene, but it's spread by skin-to-skin contact and can live on surfaces for hours so it's only a matter of time before it spreads to the general population. Unlike AIDS, you really can get it from toilet seats and gym mats.

The WHO or CDC had it listed as being airborne on their site, then the removed that part. I have to go see which one, but THANK YOU for talking about gym mats. I don’t touch toilet seats strangers touch, but I didn’t think of the gym, stationary bike seats, etc.
A virus won't stop us from having sex, said men's actions
