Hello ladies!! I hope y’all had a great past week (thanks @Astria for pinning these posts 😊)
I was thinking of having a dedicated post each week reflecting on how our last week went. Please let me know if you’d prefer this post on Sundays.
Please feel to talk about the following:
Reflect on how went with working on goals
Your “win” for the week
Your “speed bump/challenge” this past week (relating to goal or not)
Strategy(s) to address challenges/goal
There will be another post where you can list your updated goals. I thought that might make it a bit easier to reference but let me know if you have any suggestions and/or ways to streamline these posts 🙂
@Runner_Woman thank you for making these posts! It’s nice having a place to check in! I did ok this week! I worked on initiating conversation and getting more comfortable being out and about in public. I did alright on my goal of reading more and expanding my vocabulary. I listened to part of an audiobook (not my original goal, I meant to sit down and read actual physical books) but I’ll still count it as a win 🥇 😆😆😆
I love that you're making these posts and responding to others! It's very inviting and that means a lot to me :)
My goal: Cook 1 simple dish a day. It's going great so far, even though I didn't cook yesterday (work deadlines, ugh). I mostly cooked soft and bland food as I'm recovering from wisdom tooth surgery (soba noodles, porridge, salmon, tofu, eggs, and veggies). I'm glad to report that my gut is getting better and my skin is almost rid of pimples. It is amazing what home cooked food can do for your body. 😲
My goals:
Eat 3 meals consistently every day
Read 20 pgs a day
Journal every single day
This week had a lot of ups and downs, but I managed to fulfill my goals to eat more consistently, read, and journal almost every single day! I've been in a really intense emotional state since me and my bf of 5 yrs broke up last weekend, but keeping up with my routines has been important to keeping me stable.
I went for a run yesterday :)
It's been hard for me to put in the work that I need with all of this anxiety on my plate and I've allowed that to hold me back a lot this week.
I have a psychiatrist appt tomorrow so hopefully I can get some help with my anxiety, which will make my goals much easier to accomplish!
My goals were - consistently eating breakfast every morning -tracking my basal body temperature -reaching out to 1 girlfriend/woman every week - Do 2-3 Zumba dance classes - write in my prayer journal at least 3 nights a week 1. My past week went good. I noticed I felt more confident when talking with others and overall my mood was higher. 2. My wins were getting my #1 choice for placement which will be so helpful as I’m graduating and wanting experience in pediatric! Relating to my goals I was able to complete 3 Zumba classes, I made sure to temp everyday and wrote 3 times in my prayer journal 3. My challenges I skipped breakfast 2 days this week and my plans didn’t go through with a new acquaintance I made but we’ve rescheduled to hang out this week. 4. Strategies to address it- I noticed those 2 days I skipped I was busy preparing for a big class and had forgotten to meal prep the night before. So I’ve made a conscious effort to make my overnight oats the night before.
I'm a bit late on this but I was late on the other one too so it all balances out! My goals I listed in the other post: Some Goals I'm working towards at the moment are:
-> Working towards starting my business ---> (Worked on my website back end and some structures for offers)
-> Diversify my life, finances etc ---> (didn't make any progress here yet)
-> Keep my mindset 'right'. ---> (listened to a couple of inspiring podcast episodes, went for a walk, listened to affirmations)
-> Consume/engage in at least 1hr of 'wealth consciousness' material per day --->(started to do this. not consistently everyday but already doing more than before!)
Reflect on how went with working on goals --> I did ok!
Your “win” for the week ---> I survived the week! Solidly moving forward on goals is a win for me :) Managed to fit in some yoga AND catch on sleep. big wins!
Your “speed bump/challenge” this past week (relating to goal or not) (stress from very painful physical injury/issue + other stressors)
Strategy(s) to address challenges/goal ---> do more yoga/movement, continue to review options for treatment for injury & pain issue, do fun shit, laugh more, get sunshine and keep on keeping on I'm doing all the thangs!. Keep doing them :)
Not looking for 'feedback' so much as I am mutual encouragement and accountability along the journey.
Good luck everyone and see you on the 'next week' post!
