Have you ever noticed that when a group of men start talking about certain subjects, the whole lot of them are self proclaimed experts on whatever topic they’re discussing.
Side note; the subject will never be the mysterious female orgasm or the hidden location of the secret female clit. Men are going to play dumb on this subject for all time…
But seriously, and this is actually really disturbing but men always seem to be the experts on state law. Especially when the subject is specifically about the ‘age of consent.’
Sure men don’t really understand how to clean a shower or what the point of nail clippers are, but when they’re discussing age gap relationships in which they are justifying their desire for women out of their league and range, they all suddenly become supreme experts. They ALL KNOW what the exact age of consent is, and not just in their state, but in any state they’ve ever been to and in every state they might ever go to..and this is true for the 70yr old man who claims he’s been married for 50yrs to the love of his life or the 30yr old whose been with his lady for 10yrs and would do anything for her 🥱.
It always gives me the creepiest vibe, when even the craftiest attempt of wording what they’re saying is attempted, but their pedophilic porn induced sickness always comes out…For example; “Well the age of consent here is 16. But I’m off the market and I wouldn’t have anything in common with someone that young…blah blah blah.
How about NO, a 16yr old is a child and you are a full grown man??!!!
It has always disgusted me that all men seem to have this very detailed knowledge of the age of consent, as if they’re all creepily stalking young girls and waiting for the exact day they can expose their sickness onto society.

It is a HUGE red flag for me to hear men discuss this. It should not even be a topic, much less such a common one. I have never had this topic with women; not even once in my life.

Some men intentionally WANT to be the "devil's advocate" (no pun intended). Some even want to argue your basic OPINIONS- best vacation spot, most helpful form of medicine (I had a guy arguing that pills and the western psychiatric model was superior to "woo woo" like yoga, spirituality, going Paleo/grain and dairy free even though in my personal experience ten years of pills didn't do what one year of woo woo did), favorite foods... Even just basic opinions. I try to remind myself that these men are looking for attention, positive or negative. Anything, any scrap of attention. When you simply decline to debate (even silently, just shrug your shoulders or tilt your head and say "huh." "Oh I see"), they will melt down into themselves. Some men even want to debate the fact that you don't want to constantly debate everything. Crazy making! Sure if you're a lawyer or ENJOY debate, knock yourself out, but you don't actually have to engage with these people. I have mental peace, and I'll challenge my own opinions in my own time and don't feel the need to constant analyze everything I think at all times.
