Who has seen the disastrous new Bumble ad?

I'm not even mad, because I see this as Bumble showing their whole ass. I love seeing Bumble's desperation, because it must mean women are leaving, and refusing to put up with their BS any longer.

All the commentary roasting the apps has been a treat and a great source of laughs. Give 'em hell ladies!

A man who makes a mockery of celibacy cannot be trusted to be loyal to you. In order to be loyal to someone, periods of celibacy will be inevitable.

I've been celebate for 2 years now (haven't even had any physical contact with a man for that long) and this ad makes me want to be celebate even harder. I hope this makes other women wake up and boycott OLD

Dating apps are 80 to 90% men. Women are less interested because they just have more discipline when it comes to sex, and are far more comfortable with celibacy. This then hurts their business because the women are not dicking around on apps, they’re out living life and doing their thing. This was a marketing tactic because they are losing money.

It’s always been the default- because women (less aggressive) are easier to guilt due to empathy etc etc- to shame women, rather than work the angle of teaching men to become more appealing to interact with. I think they just found out that that’s changing, women have money now and that goes a long way in terms of being less easily manipulated.

Hopefully eventually these companies whose existence rely on female participation will take this tack…but seeing as South Korea won’t even fucking do it when they’re running out of young people (their strategy now is to brainwash girls from childhood about how marriage and motherhood is like, the THING), it may be a while before we shift the narrative as to who is the root deterrent for dating at this time.

Bumble is owned by massive investment firms that have a vested interest in keeping women in the dating pool so they can continue to line their pockets at our expense. Don't fall for it.

Apparently bumble attracts narcissistic men due to how it's structured. It makes sense honestly it's for men by men as the vast majority of the apps. They want the leftovers men that nobody wants to pay them

Men don't want women to keep their legs closed, otherwise how are they going to fulfill their needs? It's just easier for men to blame women for the broken homes and single mothers they created.

If 4B is not the answer then stop shaming women for being human.

I feel blessed that I always leaned towards asexual, It prevented me from being screwed over by the F boys because I used to believe in romance novels about how great men are.

The human male is nothing like that. Just like most males in the wild they female does most of the work, having male species like the king crab who look after their mate from beginning to end of the pregnancy or the Barn owl who understands that the female mate needs time to recover is the exception to the rule.

Human males are garbage in general, but in most cases they are like that because their mommies coddle them and the pickme's are enabling that behavior.

If anything, OLD apps make me want to become celibate. The men there are either undesirable, creepy, unresponsive, or too good to be true. I've never met any guy on OLD irl but given all the OLD horror stories out there, I don't think I am missing anything out.

Also I just redownloaded the app just to see what’s up, out of curiosity. In my “best bees”- like this is the best of the best on offer for me, ladies. whew!- was a guy I’ve seen consistently on every app I ever tried over the past decade, someone I matched with elsewhere who delivered beige, uninterested conversation, who is probably just app-addicted at this point, and is still actively bopping around on-app, YEARS after I left Bumble. I bet if I checked other apps, I’d see him kicking around there too. This is a guy who either nobody wants, or he cannot keep a commitment.

If this is Bumble’s “best”, well then no wonder they’re tanking.

Even in my pickme days, I never deigned to use Bumble. I always knew messaging men first was not going to lead to desirable outcomes for women. This should be common sense 101.

That said, I recognize the marketing team at Bumble was trying to be funny. It backfired, but I am able to set aside my radical feminism for a minute and enjoy the humor.
