I saw some comments on here that said dating has changed a lot over the last couple of years. I've been out of the dating scene since about 2020. Can you guys share any examples of how things have changed? Has it changed for everyone or just the newer generation? How does the FDS handbook help you deal with these changes?
I just don't want to be blindsided.
I stopped dating around the same time to focus on a degree!
Based on everything I'm hearing recently, I don't think anything is different. It sounds the same as anything I've dealt with previously in dating. Men are still shit and most will try to see what they can get away with.
If you have strong boundaries, strong knowledge and lists of red flags/deal breakers, and your self-esteem is intact you should be fine with FDS ideals. Be ready to walk away from any dude at the drop of a hat and block and delete. No benefit of the doubt. No inconsistency. No disrespect. No negging. No triangulation.
Be ruthless like FDS always pushes and you should be okay.
