Good lord, what absolute trash writing this woman puts out, and how unfortunate it is that so many people love her books.
My all-girls book club always was raving about her, so I finally decided to read Verity. I'll admit, I was hooked and finished it in a couple days. But, those are two days I wish I could get back. I felt like I was reading ragebait. I know Hoover is known for romanticizing toxic and abusive relationships, but I thought maybe there would be lessons involved that essentially teach women why they must be avoided in the end. Like, "woman realizes her boyfriend is a loser and finally finds her self respect and leaves him."
I foolishly picked up "It Ends With Us" just because I hoped maybe it would be different or better than Verity, but after finishing just the first chapter, I know I'm not going to waste my time reading the rest. Garbage. I'm concerned for all the women out there who resonate with her work, and who encourage Hoover to keep writing this crap.

I see clips of the movie in my algorithm sometimes and it just seemed weird to me. What's the TL;DR for this book, through an actual FDS lens????
