Trigger Warning - Sexual Assault Today, "That 70's Show" actor Danny Masterson was convicted of 2 counts of rape. I have not followed this case, but I understand the disclosures/accusations came out during the height of the 'Me Too' period in 2017. Who knows if the sentence of 30 years in prison will actually stick, or if an appeals process/celebrity/power status will change the outcome... But for now, even without knowing the details, I'm quite stunned at this result. I guess you could say my faith in any ethics and truth and justice in these 'systems' is pretty slim. "Masterson will likely be sentenced to roughly 12 years in prison because the actor has no criminal record and the crimes occurred several years ago." We shall see what plays out...

And he had the protection of ScientoIogy as well. Pretty surprising outcome. He wasn't really a popular popular actor since That 70s show ended, so it's not like he had the income of a Johnny Depp to fight his accusers.
