Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to figure something out... Women born 1978 -1988 are being fukd over as roughly child bearing years are 2003-2028. That leaves an older woman with approx 5/6 years to have her family. Bearing in mind a gap of 18 months to 2 years is needed between each baby for healing, building back up nutrients etc If she doesn't suffer miscarriages or any other complications, she will be lucky to bring 2, maybe 3 baby's to full term healthily. IVF finding not available in Ireland for at least 2023 and that's if cycles don't fail IVF rounds, which will happen more the older women are.
Also, government might only make IVF funding available to couples, not single women who've been future faked and emotional abused by a man thereby him wasting valuable younger child bearing years. I have a genetic condition making me blind, which I would have preferred to remove the faulty gene to produce a healthy baby and thereby next generation. Why does everything have to be withheld until too old, why are technologies and processes (in every aspect of life not just medical based) that produce better results withheld??
According to RTE article: https:/www.rte.ie/news/health/2022/0928/1326027-budget-2023-ivf-treatment/ "Mr Donnelly said €10 million was allocated in the budget towards publicly funded IVF treatment, but it will take a number of years" This is too long a wait as fertility treatments are not available to women over 43 in Ireland. Who will qualify for funding under criteria that doesn't encompass every person's equal needs is discriminatory. People wait long enough for progress in Ireland. Lives cannot be constantly put on hold in every aspect of life.
Who do I push here for answers coz the government haven't replied to me and fertility clinics haven't been given an answer by the government?
Am I supposed to just find a one night stand to get myself pregnant?!?!!!
