Thanks girl, I needed to see this today. I haven’t been jiving with my BF lately and it’s become clear that his desires for our future don’t align with my own. And now I can clearly see why: I had high expectations for his behavior and tried to make those expectations clear at the beginning of our relationship, but he went ahead and ignored that in favor of having a relationship with me, regardless of knowing that what I said I wanted wasn’t what he wanted for himself. And now it’s all come to light years later, and I’ve been asking myself if I should break up with him… the answer is yes
