There was an article on the new york times talking about "beige flags" heres the link https://nypost.com/2022/09/01/jana-hocking-on-why-beige-flags-are-the-new-dating-trend-to-watch-out-for/
The article was funny for me to read, because as someone who strives to follow FDS, these type of men would have been swiped left on. What the author describes is basically low effort, generic dating bios. The scrotes put little or no effort into getting to know anyone, likely because they are just looking to hookup.
Remember that low effort IS a red flag, don't even match with that profile. The author also tells the scrotes to put effort in and talks about swiping right out of giving them a chance, but this is a pickme style comment. A red flag is a RED flag for a reason.
Common dating app red flags to lookout for:
- only wearing a hat in the photos
-blurry / only group pics
- no bio
- generic gym rat selfie / hunting /fishing pics
- look for wedding rings
- other women/ exes in the pics or cropped out
- generic openers ie "hey" "hru?" And copypastas
- anything that implies they want hookups (looking for something casual / not sure what I want/ just looking/ let's see what happens)
- Men that take too long to respond or give one word answers when they do
- Men that snapchat and / or ask for your number asap
-Men that match and immediately ask you to meetup within that first 24 hours (you just introduced yourself and he wants to meet you later tonight)
- Men that don't plan an actual date after chatting and just want to suck your time and have ego strokes (he should set a date within the first 2 weeks in my opinion)
"The amount of blokes who have instantly responded to that answer with something like, “Yes I love that show, I’m a plumber so let’s give it a go!” or “I’m handy with a tool kit, what can you bring to the design front?” has been a game-changer!"
Oh my gosh, he pulled a "what do you bring to the table" and she thinks that's a good thing. Rescue mission material.
