Menopausal horomone changes have affected my skin...mainly, I have developed dark skin on my upper lip that makes it look like I have a mustache.

After hundreds of dollars on a dozen dark spot correcting crème experiments over the last 2 years, I have decided to get a laser skin treatment over my whole face to address the dark spot. I've never done anything more than color my hair so I have very little idea what to expect outside of what the skin clinic has shared.

I bought the $1.3k series of treatments (3) and the $400 pre and post treatment cremes.

What works for 1 person doesn't always work for everyone. Horomones and skin are complicated and this process sucks. But what sucks most of all is the disgusting brown mustache.

Words of wisdom from my fellow crones would be welcome!

I'm getting there myself. So far the only product that's shown noticeable difference with my hyperpigmentation is kojic acid soap. Also, trader joe's sunscreen is the best. It doesn't give me a whitecast and costs relatively cheaper than most brands.
