I have been doing my own microneedling at home with a .25mm derma roller taking care to be working with a sanitized field. I am wondering how many other ladies out here have done this? Include this as part of your in home skin care routine?
I have been doing informal research for myself on this skin care and trying to document my progress for both my skin texture, along with results for the lash serum I've been using recently. I think the amount of time wasted on scrotes is better used on our skin care because I have noted that when preparing for microneedling, there involves a lot of intricate prep time. Having to sanitize the tools, the table I'm working on, making sure the product is evenly distributed for maximum use in addition to the products being used which are more often than not huge $$$.
I have 3 problem areas if anyone can chime in on how you tackled it.:
1.Crowsfeet wrinkles on the outer corner of the eyes
2. sun exposure scarring (the kind that look like small craters)
3. Skin discoloration.
Products used: Olehenriksen Banana bright Vitamin C serum & C-rush Brightening gel creme, FAB Facial Radiance pads, The Ordinary lash serum, FAB eye duty niacinamide, drunk elephant protini polypeptide creme.
I forgot to include I am also using the dermaflash extractor/infuser spatula.
*Just a note I am very new to skin care so I have been trying these products and working them into my routine.
With all that being said, has there anyone been brave enough to be including microneedling into your routine? Especially with the eye/orbital area?
Ditch all of this and start on a prescription tretinoin. Remember sun screen every day. I can recommend Cassandra Bankson on YouTube. Ole Henriksen products are overpriced and mediocre. Microneedling at home is dangerous and not a recommended thing to do.
You need Tretinoin. It’s a prescription retin A (vitamin A) cream. It’s the only topical that actually yields collagen production and long term results when used consistently. As for microneedling, I will only do that at a clinic with someone trusted. You can also dow facial lasers for skin discolouration/sun damage.
I have to say as a biologist I find this horrifying
