It’s Monday and you know what that means….a new week to work on goals!!
It is such a pleasure to have this space and group to hold each other accountable!
For anyone not familiar or needs a refresher below are the ground rules of the thread.
This is a non-judgement free space. We want ppl to feel comfortable sharing what goals they are working on. If commenter feels that a goal someone is working on is too big please provide constructive feedback (no shaming) on how they can improve their goal
Please start a new comment when posting your goal and then ppl reply on to that persons goal. It makes it easier to be able to track it
A new thread will be posted every Monday morning and another new post on Sunday will be “reflections of the past week” where we will discuss the wins, challenges and action plans for Monday. So feel free to comment anytime throughout the week.
Goals can be in any area of your life that you’re wanting to level up. Some examples are health/wellness, career, school, friendships, hobbies etc
Health- continue with alternate day fasting Career - started a 6 months course today. Set time aside for studying
My aim was/is to study Japanese language,earn a certification and go to Japan. Initially I wanted to attempt finding a job as a translator, however, thanks to different reasons, I was failing at it. I have picked up motivation again. And started making charts of chinese characters to put in my room again (after a year n a half) and will start reading books again.
Goal for this week-- study 60 Kanji, around 300 vocabulary, 10 episodes of anime or Jdrama series or read 2-3 short stories.
One goal for school is to finish one of my online classes early this week. I'm really looking forward to having it done and out of the way so I can focus on my remaining classes.
I have a job interview on Tuesday so my goal for that is to get enough rest and be prepared. Job interviews in my industry are more me interviewing the employer and then demonstrating my skills, so I will get to see if this is even a company I'd be interested in working for.
Another career goal for this week will be to make a pros and cons list comparing the two jobs I've interviewed for so far to help me make a decision and understand better what I'm looking for in an employer.
Health goal is to workout (calisthenics and weights) at least twice this week!
Today was my last day at the day job. I am relieved. I recorded the hours I spent on my jobs and it's close to 90 hours so far this week.
I'm currently halfway through a bottle of my favorite bourbon and annoying my neighbors on the guitar I haven't touched in oh .... 6 months? Time to stop giving up the things I love in order to get both jobs done.
Tomorrow I get my embroidery machine back from servicing and I will start on christmas presents. I'm very much looking forward to it, I haven't touched that machine since last year for lack of time.
Yes, I am tipsy and life is pretty good.
Reading more books and doing less dumb stuff that wastes my time, like doing shit on my phone. Thankfully I don't really have social media anymore (unless you count website forums like this, then sure, I use this one and that's it, lol). But yeah, it's freed up a lot of time and I'm catching up on books and practicing guitar.
I had a big self-care weekend!
Botox and lip fillers. Nails and hair extensions. Brazilian wax and continued my thigh tattoo.
Then a loooooong spa visit the next day at the hot springs, and an online purchase of some beautiful Louboutin So Kates to wear to work this week.
I feel so beautiful, feminine and refreshed!
