She's right. I had this boyfriend one time who told me every other girl had cheated on him, so when I was asked out by this nice lawyer, I wasn't sure what to say, because I wasn't sure he wanted to be boyfriend and girlfriend. I was dumb and naive at the time, so I asked the guy I'd been seeing if we were exclusive or not. We'll, he said yes, but he treated me so badly after that. So being honest with men does not work. Just do whatever you want and don't give them the benefit of the doubt. You won't be rewarded for you loyalty.
This is so true!!! When I was 26 I had a 30 year old boyfriend. We were going on dates for a little over a month and then I asked him if he wanted to be in a relationship sometime soon or if he wanted to continue seeing other people because I wanted to know when he would ask me to be his girlfriend. He said he wanted to be exclusive but not in a relationship. At the time I was a bit naive and only dated him, and didn’t believe in exclusivity because it came off as expecting relationship things, but not the relationship expectations. When I told him it was okay and that we could see other people, he decided he wanted a relationship with me (but I realized it was only because he did not want me seeing anyone else, not because he actually was sure about me.) A year and a half into our relationship we got into a fight (one of many because we both were so insecure), and he told me that I pressured him into the relationship. I was so upset because I felt it was unfair to say I pressured him. He chose to ask me to be in a relationship because he wanted me to himself, I didn’t force him into a relationship. Looking back, I made a mistake by even bringing the discussion up, and also for not going on multiple dates with different men. Us women have to remember that we are the prize! If not, men will continue to treat you poorly before and after you get into a relationship with them.
They know we are the prize and they sure as hell don't respect women that chase them. Frankly why would they? Would you respect a judge that chases you, if you are a contestant? Doubt it.
