Hello Queens!!
It’s Monday and you know what that means….a new week to work on goals!!
It is such a pleasure to have this space and group to hold each other accountable!
For anyone not familiar or needs a refresher below are the ground rules of the thread.
This is a non-judgement free space. We want ppl to feel comfortable sharing what goals they are working on. If commenter feels that a goal someone is working on is too big please provide constructive feedback (no shaming) on how they can improve their goal
Please start a new comment when posting your goal and then ppl reply on to that persons goal. It makes it easier to be able to track it
A new thread will be posted every Monday morning and another new post on Sunday will be “reflections of the past week” where we will discuss the wins, challenges and action plans for Monday. So feel free to comment anytime throughout the week.
Goals can be in any area of your life that you’re wanting to level up. Some examples are health/wellness, career, school, friendships, hobbies etc
Alright, here are my goals for the week:
-work out 3-5x
-order Christmas gifts
-stop hitting snooze
-update resume/LinkedIn to reflect my new position
Have a good week ladies!
Okay so this week I have a couple of new updates:
1) Work/Career
- I started my new job on Monday as a new healthcare provider!! I am so thankful for FDS as the ladies here provided so much advice on how to negotiate contracts and seek out mentors within the organization and in my clinical practice network.
- I came in with the mindset similar to FDS dating of attending multiple interviews, vetting each one and it allowed me to have 5 places offer me jobs! The one I accepted was the best option as I have designated assistants that will be handling all my schedules and be doing all of my admin work.
- Plus I can work from home and have designated office days too (my other offers were fully in-person) and of course higher pay and better benefits!
- I have been working with my therapist on how to have self-confidence at work and be able to be assertive and build healthy work boundaries. It has helped me this far with obtaining my job and my initial interactions.
2) Health/Wellness
- I got a new holistic family doctor and she’s AMAZING. My initial consult with her I felt so seen by her. I’m in the process of figuring out whether I have PCOS (going through diagnosis) and she has holistic perspective for her treatment process that doesn’t use birth control nor hormone replacement therapies. She’s having me do a full clinical work up and chart my current menstrual cycle and she will be discussing my results and review my chart at my next visit.
3) Dating/relationships
- I have a FIRST DATE (God willing) this weekend since joining FDS in March. I’m so excited to put my new skills to the actual test - We met through a mutual older couple. He was visiting the older man and providing medical advice to him and referring him to his colleague (He’s a physician) and the older man was telling him about a wedding that he recently went to and was showing him pictures.
- He noticed me in the picture and commented on my beauty and asked if he knew me and the older man’s wife (who I know through church) came by and said she knows me from church (and some general broad facts about me and my personality) and the guy asked if I was single and asked the older woman if she would feel okay to introduce us and that if I agree then he would love my number.
- he reached out, we messaged for a bit and he asked me out to a restaurant. He lives about 1.5 hour drive from me. He picked and booked reservations at the top restaurant in my city. It’s in my favorite part of my town and I’ve never gone actually as it’s really hard to get reservations. I also got a booking confirmation from him on the app as the restaurant requires you to COVID screen before you come in.
- we’ll see how this date goes. I’m just happy as I’ve literally done nothing and just been vetting him and so far it’s been good. - I’m also happy as even though I don’t have a scrotation yet (I refuse to do OLD), my energy is allowing other men to approach me and I’m still keeping busy with my personal life (thanks to FDS!)
